'Retouch' wins Best Actress Award in French filmfest

Iran short film 'Retouch' wins best Actress Award from the Gosh! Film Festival in France.

Iranian short film 'Retouch' has succeeded to win best actress award from the 3rd edition of the Gosh! Film Festival in France.

The award was granted to Sonya Sanjari, the flick's leading actress, by the jury members of the festival for her perfect performance.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri and produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, ‘Retouch’ is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

In addition to Sanjari, some of the cast members of the award winning film are Mohammad-Hossein Ziksari, Hana Fouladi-Fard, Azadeh Abadpour, Siamak Farsi, Negin Ahmadi and Shirin Harati.

The flick has so far won several international awards, including the Best Fiction Short Film award at the 13th Traverse City Film Festival in the US.

The Gosh! Film Festival is an independent film event which is dedicated to international short films screenings. The festival is held in Paris and aims to showcase films loved all around the world or brand new talents!

The 3rd edition of the event was held on June 25, 2018, in Paris, France.
